PICKLEBALL AUSTRALIA ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED COACHING

Experience the
elite difference

G’day picklers! Brad and Fabian here.

Like many of us, we met while playing the game we all love - Pickleball. We were drawn to each other’s passion and energy, quickly learning that our games complimented one another. After spending time together on court, training, drilling and competing together in local and state competitions, we realised that a business friendship was emerging. Naturally we couldn’t stop talking all things pickleball, and we decided that we had something to offer players looking to enhance their game.

Applying our own personal experience, coupled with a firm belief in hands on delivery, we have curated a suite of coaching and development player programs that are designed to both assess and correct, and identify and improve on a player’s natural abilities. All the while downloading key game play strategies that equip you to deliver their very best on-court execution.

We believe that coaching is more than a ‘rinse and repeat’ application. We are 100% mobile and eager to visit you at your club or local facility. Our goal is to introduce you to our programs and take you on a development journey, offering continued support along the way, whether that be via email, text or phone or even courtside as you compete in your next event.

So we would like to invite you to immerse yourself in our journey of passion, dedication, and excellence. And witness first-hand the transformation that our quality programs can bring to your pickleball endeavours.

Cheers, Brad & Fabian

Pickleball insights

Pickleball, a dynamic and fast-paced paddle sport, demands a blend of finesse, strategy, and athleticism. Understanding the technical aspects of the game is crucial for players aiming to excel. The game comprises various shots and strokes, each requiring precision and practice.

Serves: The game begins with an underhand serve, hit below the waist, aimed diagonally across the court. A deep, consistent serve can place your opponent on the defensive right from the start.

Groundstrokes: Forehand and backhand groundstrokes are essential for rallying and returning shots. These strokes, executed with a paddle swing similar to tennis, are crucial for keeping your opponent deep in court and maintaining control during exchanges.

Dinks: These are soft, controlled shots played from near the net, aimed to land in your opponent’s non-volley zone. Dinks are highly strategic, designed to force the opponent into making a difficult return creating attackable opportunities.

Volleys: Executed before the ball bounces, volleys require extremely quick reflexes and are typically played close to the net. They are used to maintain an aggressive position and to put pressure on opponents.

Smashes: Powerful overhead shots aimed to end rallies. Smashes are most effective when the ball is high in the air, allowing the player to hit it downward with force.

Drop Shots: Similar to dinks but can be played from anywhere on the court. Drop shots are designed to create time and opportunity to approach the non-volley zone. They can catch your opponent off guard, forcing them to move quickly to return the ball.

Lobs: High-arching shots intended to push opponents back to the baseline, creating space near the net for offensive opportunities.

Mastering these shots and strokes, along with developing strategic awareness, makes pickleball a complex and challenging sport that goes beyond mere physical agility.
